Welcome to the Goddess of Avalon Fantasy Encaustic Art website. 'Encaustic', or hot wax painting is a process where beeswax is applied to a non absorbent surface with heated tools. Encaustic painting was used by the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians. This art form is believed to be over 2,500 years old. Prints of any image on this site may be purchased. All images on this site are low resolution. Finished prints are produced in high quality. Please note that due to the variance in the set up of individual VDU's we cannot guarantee an exact colour match. Proceeds from this purchase will go to Hopefield Animal Sanctuary/Rescue and various other animal charities dedicated to the welfare of animals and wildlife. Hopefield Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit making organisation devoted to creating a better quality of life for sick, unwanted and mistreated animals. They provide a safe haven for the 200 rescued animals in their care. |
